Looking for a new job in the Kirkcaldy area?

 
Puddledub are an award-winning artisan food producer and we currently have a number of vacancies available, all of which will be 30 hours per week plus. The roles available will be varied and training will be given.
 

What Puddledub are looking for

All the roles detailed below are not exhaustive as all contain the potential to be working across different parts of our business including customer facing roles in our local butcher shops in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy, farmers markets and hogroasting catering staff. 
 
What we are really looking for is a great can do attitude and a flexibility to help where needed. We need enthusiasm, punctuality and willing to go the extra mile to make sure the job is done. As we are rural-based with an intermittent bus service, a driving licence or ability to get to and from work independently will also be required. 
 
We have a great team here at Puddledub and are looking for 3 new members to join in the following roles:
 
 

Assistant Butcher

Here at Puddledub we have a number of experienced Craft Butchers in the team and we are looking for an assistant to help them. Some Butchery experience would be beneficial although not complusory as training will be given. The role also includes the potential to also be customer facing in our local butcher shops in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy. 
 
 

Delivery driver

Puddledub have a fleet of 4 delivery vans which are out and about across Central Scotland making home deliveries to our online customers, delivering our products to a large number of cafes, restaurants and farm shops. Polite, customer facing and ability to think on your feet is essential in this role as well as a clean driving licence. 
 
 
 

Bacon Curing assistant

Dexterity and diligence are key qualities for this role. Our award-winning dry cured bacon is all hand cut and requires delicate handling. Curing and cutting duties are required. Food Hyiene Qualifications would be welcome. This role may also involve making up online customer orders for dispatch so care and attention to detail is also important. 
 
 
 
 

Puddledub Hours of work:

Our usual day starts at 7am and mostly and goes on until about 4pm, depending on demand/ your availability, this can vary. We can also work around any other commitments you may have. We like to be flexible.
 
We are advertising for full time but part time will also be considered.

Salary/ Pay:

Starting wage will be £8.75 per hour (for over 25's) for your probationary period and may increase with further duties and responsibility.

We are a small family farm and food manufacturer based in Auchtertool, outside Kirkcaldy, Fife. You can find out more about our family farm and the products we make on our about us section. We have two local butcher shops in Kirkcaldy and Dunfermline
