This supervisor role is varied week to week and offering opportunity for career development. The senior retail butcher will work alone part of the week, with additional shop help at busier times. The Senior Retail Butcher will report to the General Manager/Business Owner. The purpose of the role is to ensure excellent level of customer service providing customers with our fresh range of home reared and locally sourced farm meats, both prepared onsite in the shop and at our farm butchery.
Additional skills: Drivers License, First Aid Training, Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate, HACCP (level 2/Level 4).

Role & Key Responsibilities
We are seeking someone with the skills and experience to break down Pork, Beef & Lamb carcass efficiently to agreed specifications. The successful candidate must be able to bone out, cut & trim pork to Puddledub’s high standards, whilst demonstrating taking initiative and ensuring that our products are made to the consistently high quality that our customers are accustomed to.
Compliance on safe food handling are required at all times. You will maintain all Health and Safety Hygiene rules as laid out by the Company at all times and uphold a high level of cleanliness,
Confidence and a competent understanding of all aspects and species of carcass meat.
This is a full-time, permanent role, working 5 days a week Monday to Friday, including weekends at busy times (with overtime at busy times)
The Right Person - Knowledge & Experience
The right candidate will have a passion for butchering and good food, producing cuts to the highest quality and have experience gained in a comparable environment preferably with Lamb, Pork & Beef.
Experienced whole carcass butcher; Pork, Beef, Lamb, minimum of 2 + years. Knowledge of Making Sausages & Burgers, following recipes and spec
Proactive in minimising waste to produce optimum production yield
A hard-working, highly motivated individual with high output, you will have a positive and proactive attitude to work. You will be reliable, hard-working and a great team player, used to working in a fast-paced environment
You will possess good interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) & excellent timekeeping.
You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and will be experienced in balancing the needs of the customer whilst working to a clean and safe manner. A constructive member of the team, you will proactively support Puddledub’s reputation as one of the country’s leading food producers.
Fluent in English with independent transport to our on farm butchery & store at KY1 & KY11.

· Credit Control on late and overdue payments

· Monthly VAT Return submissions
· Weekly sales reporting
· Calculating overtime.
· Booking on parcels for delivery with courier
· Stock Ordering & Purchasing Administration for ingredients and supplies
· Bank reconciliations
· Stock check
What we’re looking for:
· Reliable, adaptable team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills(written & verbal)
· Strong computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office) are a necessity as is a great telephone manner and positive ‘can -do’ attitude.
· Experience with Xero & Clearbooks or similar accounting package
· Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills whilst paying high attention to detail, with ability self manage and work remotely (from home when required)
Ideally have experience working in a busy office, accountants or bookkeeper
· Comfortable dealing with clients and suppliers on processing orders
· Knowledge of food industry would be favourable, but full training will be given to the right applicant.
£9-£10 Hour 30hrs a week 8am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday.
