Our gluten free steak pie is made here in the cooking room on the farm and has a guide weight of 200g. This will feed approximately one to two people. Our gluten free steak pies are also dairy free.
Our gluten free steak pies are made with a similar steak and gravy recipe as our award winning steak pies. We use locally sourced steak from Dalachy Farm in Aberdour.
Please refrigerate your pie between 1* and 5*C and heat until piping hot. Please do not refreeze your pie. This product is not suitable for home freezing.
We prepare and cook the pies here on the farm and then freeze them. We then dispatch your gluten free steak pie frozen to make the delicate gluten free puff pastry more robust for transporation and home delivery. This is why you cannot refreeze it.
Cooking Guidelines for Puddledub Gluten Free Steak Pies.
Your pie is delivered Frozen & Unfired.
Step 1. Remove pie from freezer
Step 2. Place pie in fridge over night to defrost.
Step 3. Remove outer packaging from pie.
Step 4. Glaze pie with egg or milk.
Step 5. Preheat oven to 200 Deg. C.
Step 6. Place pie in hot oven and cook at 200 Deg. C ( Gas mark 6)
For 30 – 40 Minutes. This will allow stew to reheat and the pastry to cook.
Step 7. Serve piping hot.
