Our Puddledub Pork Steak pie contains casserole pork which is chopped cuts of shoulder and leg and cooked in a gravy sauce.
As with our beef steak pie, this pie is dispatched frozen to protect it in transit and your need to attach the pastry lid at home.
Allergens are soya, wheat, celery, egg & sulphites.
To prevent the delicate pastry being destroyed in transit, your pork steak pie will come to you with the meat filling cooked and frozen in the pastry base. You will also be sent a frozen pastry lid which you will need to attach and glaze with egg.
Your pork steak pie will then need to be oven cooked by you until the pastry is crisp and golden and the meat filling is piping hot.
Cooking Guidelines for Puddledub Pork Steak Pies.
Your pie is delivered Frozen & Unfired.
Step 1. Remove pie from freezer
Step 2. Place pie in fridge over night to defrost.
Step 3. Remove out packaging from pie.
Step 4. Glaze pie with egg or milk.
Step 5. Preheat oven to 200 Deg. C.
Step 6. Place pie in hot oven and cook at 200 Deg. C ( Gas mark 6)
For 30 – 40 Minutes. This will allow stew to reheat and the pastry to cook.
Step 7. Serve piping hot.
