Steak Pie (medium)

Our medium Steak Pie is approx 1lb. It's dispatched frozen to protect it in transit and you need to attached the pastry lid at home.

To prevent the delicate pastry being destroyed in transit, your steak pie will come to you with the meat filling cooked and frozen in the pastry base. You will also be sent a frozen pastry lid which you will need to attach and glaze with egg.
Your steak pie will then need to be oven cooked by you until the pastry is crisp and golden and the meat filling is piping hot.
This is our most popular Puddledub steak pie. 

Cooking Guidelines for Puddledub Steak Pies.


Your pie is delivered Frozen & Unfired.


Step 1. Remove pie from freezer


Step 2. Place pie in fridge over night to defrost.


Step 3. Remove out packaging from pie.


Step 4. Glaze pie with egg or milk.


Step 5. Preheat oven to 200 Deg. C.


Step 6. Place pie in hot oven and cook at 200 Deg. C ( Gas mark 6)

             For 30 – 40 Minutes. This will allow stew to reheat and the pastry to cook.


Step 7. Serve piping hot.
